The 7 Gateways of the spine
Healing is an inside outside job. The body is incredible!
You cut your finger and it heals. Your body is incredibly intelligent and it knows how to heal itself. However, life happens and the body gets stopped up sometimes.
We are not designed to process the physical, emotional and chemical stressors of modern day life. Our Nervous System has trouble processing so many stressors and if they don’t get processed, they accumulate as Spinal Blockages. The Spinal Flow Technique recognizes seven gateways along the spine where blockages can happen. They run from the cranium down to the coccyx. Layer upon layers of emotional, physical and chemical stressors cause these blockages. When stress creates blockages along the spine it disrupts communication between the brain and body and puts the body into fight or flight mode.
Long-term blockages affect not only the spine but also the nerves that supply every organ, gland, tissue, blood vessel and cell of the body.

The nervous system as master controller
At the heart of the Spinal Flow Technique is the belief that the Nervous System is the master controller of the entire Body~Mind~Soul. Our spine and Nervous System controls everything including movement, healing, digestion and emotions. The Nervous System is the pathway for our Life Force to move through us.
By contacting and increasing the Spinal Flow we connect with the innate intelligence that lives within all of us. Our Life Force/Cerebral Spinal Fluid/Chi/Prana/Innate Intelligence/Spinal Flow are all the same thing and by increasing this flow the layers and blockages will leave the body and the body will heal.
By focusing on the health of the Nervous System I am able to work with the cause of the problem instead of just addressing symptoms or pain.

Clearing blockages
I help my clients clear these blockages by lightly touching areas of ease called access points. These access points are on your sacrum, coccyx and cranium.
I gently touch an access point with my finger contacting the Dura Mater which sends a message to the brain and the brain sends a message to the body to start self correcting, improving spinal flow and taking away unwanted stress layers and blockages. Clearing these blockages allows the body to return to its natural state of health, ease and energy.
As I contact an access point the body is able to move from fight-flight into rest-digest-heal which causes a shifting from the Sympathetic Nervous System to the Parasympathetic Nervous System.

During the treatment
The treatments are experienced fully clothed, while lying comfortably on a massage table. Clients are asked to wear loose, thin clothing.
If emotions or physical responses arise allow them to flow freely. Whether it’s crying, sighing, shaking, moving, or staying still, let your body do what it needs to do. The goal is to release any energy, stress, or blockages that have been stored in the body.
This healing is not a one and done, but it is a process that addresses the core issue/s that cause the symptoms rather than trying to bandage the symptom/s.
Multiple sessions are recommended.
